Switzerland is not a member of the European Union (EU). Consequently, key elements of EU chemicals legislation, such as the REACH Regulation and the CLP Regulation, do not apply in Switzerland. Nevertheless, Swiss chemicals legislation frequently refers to provisions within the EU legal framework.
