The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) recently recommended four additional substances for inclusion in Annex XIV of the EU REACH Regulation. If the relevant EU bodies follow this initiative, the manufacture, import, and use of these substances (including as components in mixtures) would be prohibited in principle. Further use would only be possible with official authorization.
